Grove & Pines Film Festival (GAP) is a community-led celebration of LGBTQIA storytelling, launching in 2026 on Fire Island. At a time when queer rights are under attack and representation is increasingly politicized, GAP exists to preserve, amplify, and protect these stories — stories that offer visibility, nuance, connection, and joy.

We welcome films of all formats and genres, created by queer artists and allies, that reflect the full spectrum of queer life.

Set against the backdrop of Fire Island — a place of history, beauty, and unapologetic queer expression — the festival channels the island’s unique mix of intimacy and energy, art and allure. The Pines and Cherry Grove are more than destinations; they’re living archives of queer creativity, resistance, romance, and desire. By gathering here at the end of each season, we create space to reflect, connect, and celebrate the stories that shape us — and seduce us
