Grove and Pines Film Festival takes place September 18th, 19th, 20th on Fire Island. Weekend programing will be scheduled throughout the communities of Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines.

Take the Long Island Rail Road to Sayville Station. Check the MTA website for schedules and fares from JFK, Penn Station, Grand Central or Atlantic Terminal.

Shuttle from Sayville Station to the Ferry

From Sayville Station, hop on the shuttle bus that runs directly to the Sayville Ferry dock. The shuttle runs in coordination with ferry departure times.

The Sayville Ferry will bring you across the Great South Bay and drop you right at the festival. Check the Sayville Ferry website for current schedules and fares.

Getting Between Communities — Fire Island Water Taxi

Already on Fire Island? The Fire Island Water Taxi is the easiest way to travel between communities along the island. It’s a fun, scenic ride and a great way to explore before or after festival events.

Our lineup features a curated selection of short films and two feature films from independent and emerging filmmakers, with a focus on queer stories and voices.

Some screening and events are open to all ages while others may contain mature content. Each event will be clearly labeled with an age recommendation.
